The Field of the Cloth of Silver
Bryn Gwlad’s 25th Anniversary

The Coinage of Castleton at Bryn Gwlad

It is with great pleasure and in honor of the 25th anniversary of Bryn Gwlad that I have minted, and offer for collection and use, coinage in a variety of denominations. I hope that you will find these coins things of beauty and a useful for trade at this and other events.

I have minted coins in denominations of $.05 , $1 and $10, as well as acquired historical gold coins with real gold values of $50 and $100 (and plans to mint our own). Silvers and coppers have been cut into halves and quarters to represent denominations appropriate to their fractions.

All of these coins have bullion and minting value that is near or exceeds the denomination of the coin. Thus their “real” value is about or more than their denomination implies. Thus I, Don Shamino Salle Dacil (aka Richard Garriott – Site owner and coin minter), guarantee the value of this coinage and will happily trade coinage in either direction at face value. In preparation for their use in local commerce I have minted many thousands of dollars in face value of this coinage.

I must give credit and thanks to Lord Nimrond Hearthelm (aka Scott Jones) for the fine artwork that adorns these coins.

Thanks & Enjoy,

Don Shamino
