Bryn Gwlad's Baronial Bard Competition

Pendaran Glamorgan, Bryn Gwlad Baronial Bard Tournament Coordinator

Antonia Bianca Santiago da Lagos Current Bryn Gwlad Baronial Champion

  • Competitors will be asked to perform two different pieces before a panel of judges, with HE Thomas of Tenby in attendance.

  • Competitors will be judged by two groups of judges with each group consisting of two judges (thus a total of four judges). The two scores will be averaged and the performer with the highest average score is the winner.

  • Written documentation, although not required to compete, will be taken into consideration in the judging.

  • There is no theme and the pieces can be in any style the competitor chooses (the two pieces can, if fact, be the same format). The competition will take place in The Curtain Theatre following evening Court. Refreshment will be provided.

Be sure to send in your letters of intent to compete and to bring your honor shields!

Greetings to all performers throughout Ansteorra,

Have you ever dreamt of performing on an actual stage? Have you ever wanted to play to an audience in an actual theater in the same style as London's Globe? Come to Bryn Gwlad and you can! Many have heard of Bryn Gwlad's wonderful Curtain Theater and you may now view it here.

Photos cannot, however do it justice. You must see this theater in person to truly appreciate it and walk its stage to truly know the magic of performing within it. So if you've ever dreamt of performing in a Renaissance theater come to Bryn Gwald!
